The N8 is a nice looking phone it has a minimalistic devise and is very efficient and downy. The glass touchscreen covers most of the front of the phone, and the front has a single button. The phone is made out of aluminum, which gives it top quality and high-end look.

The capacitive touchscreen is a joy to use and is very responsive. Other specifications include 16GB of storage, which is ample unless you have loads of music, GPS with free Ovi Maps navigation, FM radio and FM transmitter, front facing video call camera, microSD card slot, 3G and Wi-Fi.

The N8 also runs on the new Symbian^3 operating system, which has been improved for better touchscreen support. We liked using the new operating system and are a much better improvement than previous editions of Symbian on touchscreen however there are still a few complaints.

Overall the N8 is Nokia’s best touchscreen smartphone to date, and is also the best camera phone to date, it looks great and functions well. Now Three says that it will appear in “early 2011″ but its pricing has not yet revealed. Nokia wasn’t available for comment about why its E7 handset will be tipping up later than expected.

Of the four handsets launched at Nokia World, the Nokia E7 was very much the darling of the range, having been described unsurprisingly as the “ultimate business smartphone”. But it would appear from Three’s promotional video that the firm does not see it as just a business tool but also a phone for consumers.

The display is a 4-inch touchscreen featuring Nokia’s “Clear Black” technology. This means it is “black is blacker than black,” according to Nokia’s mobile solutions VP, Anssi Vanjoki speaking at Nokia World. There, the screen’s text and images certainly looked crisp and there was no sign of a background that was more grey looking rather than black.

According to the developers, the latest update to the Maemo operating system for the N900 also includes “hundreds of tweaks and fixes that will make your N900 run faster and smoother than ever”. Where available, users can now access the company’s Ovi Music Store and download DRM-free audio files directly to their devices.

As previously reported, the PR 1.3 update should allow users to “easily” dual-boot between Maemo and the MeeGo mobile operating systems. However, no mention or details of this were included in the official announcement, or in the release notes. MeeGo is a Linux-based distribution for mobile devices. Currently, the N900 is the only available Nokia device actually capable of running MeeGo.
